Senior Family Newsletter
Dear Senior Families,

The official start of the academic year was marked with the newest members of the Tribe walking through the Wren Building at Convocation last week. The new school year offers exciting opportunities for students and families that are showcased in this month's newsletter. As we all transition from summer break to the last fall semester for our students, remember that Family Weekend is a great chance to stay connected with our students and their wonderful school. This year we will be hosting a reception for Class of 2016 families during Family Weekend. Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 26 at 9am, more details on the exact location will be available on the website in the next few weeks. Be sure to register for Family Weekend by Monday, September 7th!

As many of our seniors will be seeking full-time employment after graduation, please remind your student to visit the Cohen Career Center as soon as possible to register for the Fall Campus Interview cycle and to complete the process necessary for participation in the Center's activities. Employers will begin hosting information sessions early in September with campus interviews following shortly thereafter.

I hope to see you at Family Weekend!

Sincerely,
Candace Petersen P'16, P'18
Opening Convocation
On Wednesday, August 26th, the College of William & Mary welcomed another stellar group of new students!  Between residence hall move-in, the learning opportunities embedded within New Student Orientation, and the tradition of Opening Convocation, we hope that the Class of 2019 and our newest transfer, exchange, and St Andrews Joint Degree Programme students have truly experienced the W&M feeling of One Tribe, One Family.

Residence Life
Welcome back to your Tribe home! Now that move-in is behind us, it's time for your students to get involved!

Getting involved with Hall Council
Participation in Hall Council is an unmatchable leadership experience offered to all students in housing. Hall Governance and Self Determination define the W&M residential experience. Does your student have what it takes to make a difference and shape the community?

It's never too early to make travel plans. Find out which breaks the halls will stay open and which break we close for on our website.
