Outdoor Adventure Club of Greater Cincinnati Connects Youth to Nature
On Saturday, the Cincinnati Enquirer highlighted The Outdoor Adventure Club of Greater Cincinnati, a group who seeks to reconnect urban youth to nature through weekly outdoor field trips. Each Saturday, students in 6th to 12th grade participate in a different outdoor recreation activity, with participation growing rapidly -- Three years ago, there were 505 participants from three schools; this year's group numbers around 2,200 students from 13 different schools. Since the story was published, donations for the OAC have already exceeded $10,200.
