On October 22, 2014, people across the country took to the streets in protest for the National Day of Action to Stop Police Brutality and in solidarity with those in Ferguson and St. Louis who have called for a month of resistance to demand justice. We marched together in New York City, in rage and sorrow, thinking of Mike Brown, Eric Garner and so many countless others killed by police brutality.

We continue to carry in our hearts the people we met along the way as we handed out 770 UNARMED CIVILIAN t-shirts in Ferguson and St. Louis, each a gift in solidarity. The voices throughout the community resonate, loud and clear, expressing peoples' fierce determination to demand justice for Mike Brown. Bearing witness to their courageous struggle to claim power and uphold their human rights is unforgettable.

We would like to thank the people we met who welcomed us into their community with warmth and love. We will not forget. Although we were only there a short time, we were profoundly inspired, and will be for a long time to come. Photo credit Charles Rex Arbogast
