Gala Honorary Chair: Michael Wild
Chef & Owner, BayWolf Restaurant

In 1975, Michael Wild co-founded BayWolf Restaurant in Oakland, creating one of the most elegant, inviting, and lasting culinary traditions in the Bay Area.  Michael has been a pioneer of California cuisine integrating influences from Tuscany, Provence, and the Basque country.  The restaurant closed in 2015 after a remarkable 40 year run.

Michael nurtured a pride in craft for every aspect of the experience at BayWolf.  At the same time, the bistro earned a well-deserved reputation as a gathering place for the community, attracting a devoted following.  Over the years, friends and colleagues of Ann Martin Center have enjoyed many an hour at BayWolf celebrating life and gastronomic delights.

Prior to his incarnation as a restaurateur, Michael was an English and Humanities professor at San Francisco State University.  He and his wife Jill have three sons.
