The second wave of an Alberti Center study evaluating the impact of the New York State Dignity for All Students Act is underway. The study, School Climate and Prevention and Intervention Efforts Regarding Bullying and Harassment, examines current perceived school climate and assesses the evolving prevention and intervention approaches schools use related to bullying and harassment.
If you are a New York State school employee, participate in the study by completing a 15-minute anonymous survey by July 1st.
Need a little more incentive? Participants may enter a raffle to win one of ten $50 Visa gift cards.

Congratulations, Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts!

A student performing arts group from the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts won the BAND Against Bullying competition on May 14, 2013, at the University at Buffalo Center for the Arts. All ten participating schools offered incredible talent and powerful messages of dignity and respect for all people. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this event, especially the participating schools, M&T Bank, National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, University at Buffalo, and Hodgson Russ LLP.

Bullying Prevention Continuing Education Courses Available in Fall 2013

Dr. Amanda Nickerson, director of the Alberti Center, will teach three 1-credit continuing education courses during the Fall 2013 semester at the University at Buffalo. Anyone interested in learning more about bullying prevention and intervention are encouraged to register!
