For the past three years the Post-Prison Education Program has participated in The Seattle Foundation's annual giveBIG campaign. On Wednesday, May 15th we will again be joining hundreds of other charitable organizations for this day of giving. This year we are hoping to top last year's efforts, but can only do so with your support.
In 2010 and 2011, we provided significant financial assistance to 49 men and women as they embarked on college careers. In 2012, we opened offices inside the Department of Corrections' Coyote Ridge Corrections Center and Washington State Penitentiary, and this year will provide intensive mentoring and counseling to more than a thousand men and women in addition to significant financial support to more than 50 new students. Tomorrow, you have the opportunity to have your donation to the Post-Prison Education Program be matched by The Seattle Foundation during their 2013 giveBIG event beginning Wednesday at 12:01 a.m. and going non-stop until 11:59 p.m.
Every dollar truly does make a difference, whether you are able to give $5, $25, $100, or $1,000 your generosity will be matched by The Seattle Foundation. Every gift made to our organization will help us continue to unite families and create hope and opportunity for our students and their families.
