To help ease your transition to BASIS Scottsdale, we have a "New Parent Mentor." If you have questions or want guidance, please contact Amy Tang at amyhtang1@gmail.com. Amy is the parent of two BASIS students (7th and 4th), and would be glad to share tips, tools and insights gained over the years. Or she can connect you with others who can support your specific needs. Working together, we can continue to build on the success that has made BASIS Scottsdale one of the top-ranked schools in the nation!

MEMBERSHIP AND LUNCH ARE OUR #1 FUNDRAISERS!
When you join Boosters and buy lunch, this allows us to use the money raised to directly support all BASIS Scottsdale students, teachers, and staff. This also allows our children to focus on school, not on raising money.We also collect donations for the teachers twice a year: December for the Teacher Holiday Bonus and April for Teacher Appreciation week. That's it.
Collectively, we have a greater impact than as individuals.

We have done our best to accommodate as many students and parents as possible for this event. If you are not able to join us this Saturday, we hope that you will attend our All School Social on September 25 from 3pm-5pm at AZ AirTime (see below for details).

Dear Parents,
It was brought to our attention that several teachers made last minute classroom book changes. We apologize for selling books that are no longer used. If you purchased one of these books, we will gladly do one of the following: 1)Refund you, 2) Upgrade your membership or 3) Provide you with a letter stating you made a financial donation to the boosters. Contact us at info@basisscottsdaleboosters.org. Books can be returned to the school office. We do still have 7th grade biology, 8th grade history, and algebra 2 books for sale. and due Wednesday, August 31st at midnight
Monthly ordering only - daily ordering is not available.
Preorder only - no cash purchases.
- Discount for Single and Family Boosters memberships will apply ($ 6.50 each)
- You don't need to be a Boosters member to order lunches ( $ 7.25 each)
- We encourage you to become a Single or Family Boosters member before you order to take advantage of the 12% discount offered to them.
- Go to: www.basisscottsdaleboosters.org/membership to become a member.
- Orders will be charged for the full month according to the type of meal plan you have selected.
- If you have more the one student for who you are ordering for, you will need to place and pay for each one separately.
- If the order went through, you will receive a confirmation email from the Boosters PayPal account. Please, print it and give it to your student(s) to keep at school for reference.
- If you need to review your order after you paid for it, you need to refer to your confirmation email. There is not a login page on the new system to allow you to review your order once you have placed and paid for it.
- The recurring payment option will be not be available. Unfortunately, Paypal is not able to process recurring payments when the amount varies from month to month.

NEW THIS YEAR! Join Boosters, and as a verified Booster member you can go to our secure Carpool area on the website. There you will be able to add your address (as many as you need) with notes as to your situation and coordinate carpool arrangements. This service is only for Booster members. After you join, visit our website and click on the Carpool button.

HIKING CLUB
Do you like to hike? Then this is the club for you. Last year the group hiked over 250 miles together! They frequented local trails of all different levels, and even ventured afar to places including Sedona and the Superstition Mountains. This year, the Hiking Club will be meeting on Saturdays starting in mid-September. They're planning to start the season easy and work up to challenging hikes as the weather cools. If you're interested, please contact Lori Noss (lorinoss@gmail.com) for more information and to sign up.

At this meeting we will discuss book suggestions for our reading list this year. Please feel free to contribute any ideas or recommendations at this meeting. The list of suggestions will be discussed and voted on. We will be reading a book each month and gathering to discuss in either a member's home or a convenient cafe, library, community center.
