This is a moderately challenging hike, gaining over 1,000 ft elevation up to the 'thumb' of Tom's Thumb (seen in the photo). There and back is 5.6 miles. Hiking poles are recommended, and only experienced hiking dogs are recommended.

The school is in need of supplies! We are grateful for all the donations so far this year, but as you know we're in the middle of cold and flu season. Thus we could use your help stocking the school with supplies such as Kleenex, disinfecting wipes, paper towels and hand sanitizer. (We use the disinfecting wipes to clean door knobs, tables, and light switches to minimize illness). Below are a few Amazon links for the needed supplies. Boosters members should verify that they are receiving reduced pricing by going to the Wednesday menu; there you should see that no entrée is priced higher than $5.50. with your name, the name(s) of your student(s), and their grade.

Remember to have your student show school pride by wearing a BASIS shirt on Fridays for "Spirit Friday."   On some Fridays, Boosters provides a special treat for students wearing any BASIS t-shirt.  The student must wear any BASIS shirt to receive a treat.
