BASIS NEEDS YOU MONDAY MORNING!

The neighbors have a protest planned at the new school site and they have invited the media.
Please come and show your support for the new BASIS school.
We will have signs for you to hold. Please wear a BASIS shirt or something green.
We will NOT engage with the neighbors. We do not have to be loud to make our point. We just need to show large numbers of people are in favor of the project moving forward.
You must NOT park at 128th. Shuttles will pick you up at the Haagen parking lot (old Albertsons) on Via Linda, just east of Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd., starting at 6:45am. They will be running regularly to get you back to your car.

City Council Hearing 3939 N. Drinkwater (Scottsdale Civic Center)
THIS IS THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU CAN DO FOR BASIS! We need you to come out to show your support and demonstrate that this is a priority.
WEAR A BASIS T-SHIRT OR GREEN TO SHOW SOLIDARITY: When you arrive at City Hall, make sure to get a We Love BASIS sticker and wear it proudly!
BRING SNACK, WATER & HOMEWORK
This will be a lengthy meeting, so we suggest that you bring a snack, water and homework to the meeting.

Next Week:February 23 - 7:30 am: Superstitions - Siphon Draw to Flat IronThis is a challenging, 6 mile total hike to the top of Flat Iron and back. This is only for experienced hikers comfortable with rocky, steep, inclines. February 25 - 8:30 am: McDowell Mountain Park3 mile loop, no elevation gain This is an easy and scenic hike for all levels. Dogs on a leash are welcome. UPCOMING HIKES:March 1 - South Mountain Park and lunch at the Farm March 3 - Black Summit March 15 - 10 mile loop from Brown's Ranch March 17 - The Hiking Club goes green with a St. Patrick's Day picnic in Fountain Hills

HELP PREVENT YOUR STUDENT FROM GETTING COLDS OR FLU BY DONATING SUPPLIES:
The school is in need of supplies! We are grateful for all the donations so far this year, but as you know we're in the middle of cold and flu season. Thus we could use your help stocking the school with supplies such as Kleenex, disinfecting wipes, paper towels and hand sanitizer. (We use the disinfecting wipes to clean door knobs, tables, and light switches to minimize illness). Below are a few Amazon links for the needed supplies. LUNCH ORDERING OFFERS AFFORDABLE VARIETY!
The BASIS Boosters Lunch Team invites BASIS Scottsdale families to order lunches at https://basisschools.orderlunches.com/Please note that if you have an Orderlunches account, but are not a Boosters member, you will receive regular pricing on orders. Boosters members should verify that they are receiving reduced pricing by going to the Wednesday menu; there you should see that no entrée is priced higher than $5.50. If you are a member and do not see the discounted price, please send an email to gotlunch.basisboosters@gmail.com with your name, the name(s) of your student(s), and their grade. Full menus, with descriptions of items, can be viewed by clicking on each day of the Orderlunches calendar. Also, remember to be sure you've completed the checkout process (no items are left in your cart), and print out a copy of orders for your records.s from the lunch program go directly back to support the school.

Remember to have your student show school pride by wearing a BASIS shirt on Fridays for "Spirit Friday." On some Fridays, Boosters provides a special treat for students wearing any BASIS t-shirt. The student must wear any BASIS shirt to receive a treat.
