FRIDAY LUNCH VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

PARENTS, WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Volunteers are needed to fill Friday lunch shifts. We'd love to see some new faces and can provide training. Each shift is only approximately 2 1/2 hours, so we appreciate any time you can give us. We depend on volunteers to make our lunch program successful. The BASIS Scottsdale Student Directories were distributed on Thursday to your students. Please check their backpacks! PARENTS: JOIN THE BOOSTERS HIKING CLUB

UPCOMING HIKES:January 5 - Quartz Trail, 8:45 am: McDowell Mountain Ranch Area This is a moderate, there and back, 5-mile hike. Most of the trail is relatively flat, with a short, steep 850 ft. climb at the destination quartz outcrop. Expect to be hiking for 2 hours. Dogs on a leash are welcome, but this trail is not recommended for small dogs. January 7 - Dixie Mine to Bell Pass, 7:30 am: Meet at DIxie Mine trailhead in Fountain Hills This is a medium-to-difficult, 10-mile, 4.5 hr-hike with a 1273 ft. elevation gain. We'll hike to Bell Pass from Fountain Hills and return on the same trail. This trail is very scenic and less rocky than the Scottsdale side. You should only bring experienced hiking dogs accustomed to long distances and elevation gains on this trail. LUNCH ORDERING OFFERS AFFORDABLE VARIETY!
The BASIS Boosters Lunch Team invites BASIS Scottsdale families to order lunches at https://basisschools.orderlunches.com/Please note that if you have an Orderlunches account, but are not a Boosters member, you will receive regular pricing on orders. Boosters members should verify that they are receiving reduced pricing by going to the Wednesday menu; there you should see that no entrée is priced higher than $5.50. If you are a member and do not see the discounted price, please send an email to gotlunch.basisboosters@gmail.com with your name, the name(s) of your student(s), and their grade. Full menus, with descriptions of items, can be viewed by clicking on each day of the Orderlunches calendar. Also, remember to be sure you've completed the checkout process (no items are left in your cart), and print out a copy of orders for your records.s from the lunch program go directly back to support the school.

Remember to have your student show school pride by wearing a BASIS shirt on Fridays for "Spirit Friday." On some Fridays, Boosters provides a special treat for students wearing any BASIS t-shirt. The student must wear any BASIS shirt to receive a treat.
