Our school is in desperate need of supplies! Although many donations came in at the beginning of the year, you would be amazed by how quickly we go through them. (We use the disinfecting wipes to clean door knobs and light switches to minimize illness.) Please drop items off at front desk.
 
The following items are very much appreciated:

Rolls of paper towels
Hand sanitizer
Plastic forks and spoons

AFTER FALL BREAK:

Oct 20: 8:30 am - Quartz Trail

This is an easy-to-moderate, there-and-back, 5-mile hike. It is relatively flat for most of the hike with a short, steep, 850 ft. climb at the destination quartz outcrop (Approx. 2 hours). Dogs on a leash are welcome; however, the steepness of the climb makes it inappropriate for small dogs.

Oct 22:  7:30 am - Granite Mountain Loop

This is an easy-to-moderate, 5-mile loop with little elevation gain around Granite Mountain in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. Dogs on a leash are welcome. Allow 2-3 hours.

Oct 29: Dixie Mine (including petroglyphs)
Nov 3: Scenic Loop (right side of road) 'SN' in McDowell Mountain Park
Nov. 5: Tom's Thumb trailhead to Gateway trailhead - one way, 10-mile hike
Nov 10: Pinnacle Peak
Nov 12: Saguaro Lake

with your name, the name(s) of your student(s), and their grade.

Remember to have your student show school pride by wearing a BASIS shirt on Fridays for "Spirit Friday."   On some Fridays, Boosters provides a special treat for students wearing any BASIS t-shirt.  The student must wear any BASIS shirt to receive a treat.
