WHY JOIN BOOSTERS?
When you support the Boosters, you support our students!
Boosters does a lot to support our students, teachers and staff, and that requires funding. 100% of your membership fee benefits BASIS Scottsdale School. Boosters sponsors social events, parent mixers, the school carnival, and other similar community-building activities. Boosters also provides hospitality for the school's college representative visits, financial support for the school's graduation ceremony and senior project books, funds for classroom supplies, assistance with funding for AP certification courses for teacher training, funding for athletics equipment and arts program supplies, among many other school needs.

The membership contest ends today. Here is the latest update. Final results will be posted next week. All students in the grade with highest participation percentage will receive a special prize!  |
FIRST MEETING: AUGUST 26TH, 11:00 AM
Do you love to read? If so, please consider joining the BASIS Book Club. The club will hold their kick-off meeting Wednesday, August 26th at 11:00 am at 8375 E. Captain Dreyfus Avenue, Scottsdale, AZ 85260.
The meeting will include discussion of book suggestions for this year's reading list. Please feel free to contribute any ideas or recommendations at this meeting. After the meeting, club chairs Debbie Himmelein and Karen Burge will compile the list of suggestions, and the group will vote on the final selection. Club members will be reading a book each month and gathering to discuss in either a member's home or a convenient cafe, library, or community center (finalized meeting schedule pending).
Anyone from the BASIS community is welcome to join, so please pass along this information to families whom you think may be interested! Please RSVP to debhimm@gmail.com if you can attend and if you would be able to bring a salad or dessert to share.

IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A 15-20% DISCOUNT OFF LUNCHES, YOU MUST BECOME A BOOSTERS MEMBER BY TODAY, AUGUST 21ST!The Boosters Lunch Fundraising Program provides great-tasting lunches from local restaurants that can be conveniently ordered online. This year features more menu choices, as well as an expanded list of lunch vendors including Freshbox (organic), Marigold Maison (Indian), Subway, Chick fil-a, Panda Express, Redendos (Italian), Senior Taco (Mexican), SUNutrition, Smoothie King, and Jamba Juice. There are affordable (<$5) food selections each day, as well as additional choices of à la carte sides. Lunch ordering opens August 24, so become a member today in order to receive your member discount! All profits from the lunch program go directly back to support the school. Remember to have your student show school pride by wearing a BASIS shirt on Fridays for "Spirit Friday." The Boosters offers occasional Friday treats to students who are wearing any BASIS shirt!
