THE CRUCIBLE
by Arthur Miller

PLAYHOUSE ON THE PARK

(1850 N. Central Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85004)

$10 tickets available on SMART for Charter

The Upper School Drama class tackles Arthur Miller's 1953 drama, The Crucible.  Born from the Red Scare, Miller's play takes the leading players from the 1692 Salem witch trials  and fictionalizes their motivations for such terror.   Miller suggests that young Abigail Williams led a wicked plot to unravel the married farmer, John Proctor, who spurned her heart.  This community is torn apart by lies, persecution, and sheer malice.  Miller's play brings the school community the tried and true message:  Stand up for what you believe in, even when the whole world is at your back.

Mature Language and Material.  Parental Discretion Advised.
