Do you remember May Day baskets? A kind neighbor would leave a basket at your front door, usually with a small flowering plant and some treats of some kind, as a celebration of Spring.

May Day in Minnesota is often less than celebration worthy. This year you may have had to dig your basket out of the snow or catch it as it washed away in the torrential rains! Whatever, it is glorious to see green grass and beautiful budding leaves. They give me hope!
