Mr. Tomiak keeping our community safe by manning our crosswalk each morning. Please help him by driving slowly and with caution.
There are several new pedestrian walkways surrounding the parking lot. Please use them and do not walk in the parking lot behind parked cars.

Road Safety/Parking Lot Reminders

As we wrap-up our second week of school, we would like to thank our community for their patience and understanding as everyone becomes accustomed to the newly improved parking lot and pedestrian walkways.

We are still experiencing some issues:

1) Some parents are walking their child(ren) behind parked cars rather than using the pedestrian walkways. Please DO NOT walk behind cars as drivers may back-up unexpectedly.

2) Some cars are still stopping in the parking lot and dropping off their child(ren) in the middle of the parking lot. Please DO NOT stop in the parking lot to unload your child(ren). You must pull into a parking space.

3) Please respect the speed limit. The posted speed limit in the school zone is 30 km/hr and 5km/hr in the parking lots.

4) The parking lot north of Bessborough Hall is reserved for staff parking only. Please refrain from parking in this lot and/or parking in the fire lanes of this lot.

These rules are in place to keep everyone safe. Please follow them - thank you!

Pray the Rosary With Us!

Please join us on Wednesday mornings after drop-off in the Bessborough Hall Chapel to pray the Rosary. This is a beautiful way to start off your day.

We hope to see many of you there!

Save The Date!
Mary's Meals Founder & CEO Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow Coming To CWA

We are pleased to announce that Mary's Meals Founder & CEO Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow is coming to Clear Water Academy on Monday, September 26th at 7:00 p.m. in the Athlone Hall Auditorium. No RSVP or tickets required. Please spread the word and bring friends and family!

Last year, in May, you may recall that we held a Mary's Meals day, on which all of our students wore blue for Mary and contributed a toonie in support of Mary's Meals. On that single day, we raised enough money to feed 150 children for an entire year through Mary's Meals. Our goal for this school year is to raise enough funds to feed 500 children for an entire year. To learn more, visit Mary's Meals website and watch the 30-minute video below with your family.

Magnus MacFarlane and Mary's Meals is a truly amazing story and we are very blessed to have the opportunity to learn more and help serve the poor in our world in this way.

Picture Day has been rescheduled to Tuesday, September 27th. All students must be in their full/formal uniform on this day. Say Cheese!

A reminder that we have several students in the school with severe food allergies that can be life-threatening: nuts, dairy, seafood, and many more.

We are a nut-aware school and ask that you please be mindful when packing your child(ren)'s lunch(es) and snacks. Some of our students cannot come into contact, in any way, with certain foods due to allergies.

If you would like to know what allergies exist in your child(ren)'s classroom(s), please contact the homeroom teacher to enquire.

Thank you for your cooperation!

Evenings of Reflection
for Men

Beginning on Tuesday, September 20th, Regnum Christi and Clear Water Academy will offer a five-part series of Evenings of Reflection for Men - "Lazarus at Our Door." The sessions will delve into the Church's teachings on our relationship with the poor of the world, and explore the practical implications for those of us living in a rich country in present times. The series will lead us to reflect deeply on the reality of poverty in its many forms, moving through an intellectual understanding to a biblical view and call to action.

The format of the evening allows men to arrive from work, participate in Mass, enjoy a hot meal, receive a thought-provoking talk, engage in small group discussion on practical implications, and be away by 9:00 pm. The Evenings of Reflection are open to all men, and we invite and encourage you to bring a friend.
