Basketball Updates 

Junior High basketball will be completed by March 4. Please return clean uniforms to your coach ASAP. 

6/7 Girls have begun play in their year end tournament. They are currently 3-0 and will be playing in the semi final on Monday, March 4 at Chinook Winds. Should they win, they will advance to gold that evening.

7/8 Boys are competing in their year end tournament this current weekend at Bearspaw. The boys started out 1-1 on Thursday. 

8/9 Girls captured the CISAA 1J championship this past Tuesday defeating Waldorf school. The girls are off to Rolling Hills AB to compete in the South Central Zones this weekend. 

8/9 Boys upset the top ranked Rundle Academy team in the semi finals, then lost to Chinook Winds by 5 points in the championship game. They have still earned a spot in the South Central Zones tournament, and are travelling to Linden AB this weekend. 

HS Girls finished 3rd in Tier1 play of the CISAA HS league. They play Rundle College in the semi final on Tuesday at WIC, with the final going Wednesday, followed by a Zone challenge match on Friday.

CWFHL - Congratulations to the Rangers who captured the championship in the Grade 4-6 Boys Clear Water Floor Hockey League. The secondary championship will be decided next week. In the first semi final, the Hoodies defeated Ulf Samuellsson's Knees and advance to Tuesday's championship. The second semi final goes Monday with Thomas Matthews and the Legendary Hearts vs Half a Cow. The elementary girls final will be played on Wednesday.

Gym schedule is available on www.cwacrusaders.com through to March 15^th. We offer three exciting sports in season 3 athletics (March and April). Information will be distributed to interested students beginning Tuesday February 26th. It will also be posted on www.cwacrusaders.com, and next week's Weekly.

Grade 7 & 8 Badminton First Practice/Tryout is Wednesday March 13^th  3:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Grade 9-12 Badminton First Practice/Tryout is Thursday March 14^th 3:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Girls tryouts will begin March 18th. Times TBA. 

Floor Hockey (Grade 7-9 Students Eligible)

Boys Coaches - Mr. D'Angelo & Mr. Forrester. Tryouts - March 5^th and 7^th  at 7 a.m. Practice March 11th at 7 a.m.   

Tournament - Tuesday March 12^th in afternoon at CWA. 

Girls Coaches -  Miss Morrison and Miss Beaton.   

Tryouts - March 5th and 7th at 7a.m. 

Practice - March 11th at 7a.m. Tournament - Thursday March 14th after school at Waldorf.

We depend on God, whether we like to believe it or not.  God gave us the Eucharist to nourish us in ways that we cannot completely understand nor feel.  Can you feel your heart beat?  Can you count the currents going through your body and brain allowing you to see the words on this page?  Why then do some doubt the working of the Lord in the Eucharist?  The martyr Saturninus (AD 305) was being cross-examined on the accusation that he had taken part in the forbidden assembly (Mass) on Sunday, to which he answered:  "Without the Sunday Eucharist, we cannot live.  Do you not know that the Christian exists for the Eucharist and the Eucharist for Christians?"

YEAR OF FAITH CONFERENCE

Peter Thompson and Dr. Brent Maundy, a parent from our school, are the keynote speakers for this conference on March 8-9. Click HERE for more details about the event.

GOD SQUAD ANNUAL MEN'S CONFERENCE

This is a great conference for all men from the ages of 13 and up. In the past, the God Squad conferences have hosted speakers such as Peter Kreeft, Jeff Cavins, and Steve Wood. This year, keynote speakers are Michael Coren, Joseph Hyland, and Michael Chiasson. Michael Chiasson will be running a youth program. The conference begins on Friday, March 8th with Mass at 7 pm, and continues until 4 pm Saturday, March 9th. Coffee, donuts, and Spolumbo's sausages are included with the conference fee.
