What's New at ICGS? |
A thrift store-type place to leave donations to benefit the poor and the needy has opened on North C Street across from Loaves and Fishes. Joel S. is ram-rodding the effort and the launch of this venture is going well.
If you have things to donate it is easy to find. They are open five days a week from 9am until 4pm. Your thoughtfulness and goodness in sharing will always be appreciated.

The local programming is also available through simulcasting on sacramentofaithtv.org.
"30 Minutes of Faith" show interviews with faith leaders throughout our region and the topics of discussion between Jon Fish and his guests is enlightening and informative. Schedule: Monday 7am and 7:30pm / Wed. 9pm / Fri. 6pm / Sun. 9pm

From the President's Desk | |
ICGS President Jon Fish writes:
We continue to be amazed at the goodness of so many people who come in and out of our lives. We see countless numbers of good people doing good things. We shouldn't be amazed because the good people and their good acts rarely make it into the news of the day. Their work and labors go on quietly behind doors generally unseen by the public. Their personalities, their devotions, their tenderness and their simple goodness overpower the needs of the people all about them. (My father used to tell us in childhood that we should "do good, simply for good's sake," all of our lives.)
In October we watched, listened and enjoyed many displays of goodness that ranged from music, to the spoken word, to service, to generosity, to time for dialogue, to education and growth, to remembering wonderful holiday times, to caring for creation, to prayer, to donating toward winter weather usage, to opening doors to help and so much more. We are grateful to the good people of this community! They continue to touch our lives for good in all of their approaches. God bless you all for your acts of good.
