This conference is for anyone who is interested in understanding the impact of violence on a child's development through both a brain-based approach and behavioral understanding of trauma.

Sacramento's First Annual Court/Clergy Conference

 

Sponsored by the Sacramento Superior Court and the
California Judges Foundation.

 

GENERAL INFORMATION:
* Educational event bringing together judges and religious leaders from all faiths.
* Keynote presentations, panel discussions and breakout sessions.
* Space is limited to the First 100 registrants.

Wednesday, November 12 MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID

In keeping with our New Social Contract, United Advocates for Children and Families has launched a spirituality and mental health initiative: Faith Share 360°.

 

We offer a complimentary class on Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)... a national education program that helps the public identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. MHFA is managed, operated, and disseminated by three national authorities: National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare, Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Missouri Department of Mental Health. A certified trainer on staff will teach the class on:

To register, please contact Judy Crockett at jcrockett@uacf4hope.org or call her at (916) 643-1530 ext.112.  Registration deadline: Monday, October 20, 2014.  We will send you a registration form. The class will be held in our Hdqtrs Training Center in Sacramento. The class requires a minimum of 10 participants/a maximum of 20. Each will receive a certificate that is recognized by the three agencies listed above.
