Saturday, September 27 PRESCRIPTION DRUG COLLECTION |
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department will partner with the Drug Enforcement Agency to collect potentially dangerous, expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs for destruction on Saturday, September 27, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
There will be four collection sites within the Sheriff's jurisdiction:
Sheriff's Garfield Station 5510 Garfield Avenue Sacramento, CA 95841
Sheriff's Florin Station 7000 65th Street Sacramento, CA 95823
Rancho Cordova Police 2897 Kilgore Road Rancho Cordova, CA 95670
Antelope High School 7801 Titan Drive Antelope, CA 95843
The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

Wednesday, November 12 MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID | 
In keeping with our New Social Contract, United Advocates for Children and Families has launched a spirituality and mental health initiative: Faith Share 360°.
We offer a complimentary class on Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)... a national education program that helps the public identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. MHFA is managed, operated, and disseminated by three national authorities: National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare, Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Missouri Department of Mental Health. A certified trainer on staff will teach the class on:

Please send your email address. We will send a registration form. The class will be held in our Hdqtrs Training Center in Sacramento. The class requires a minimum of 10 participants/a maximum of 20. Each will receive a certificate that is recognized by the three agencies listed above.
