From the Pastor's Desk

Have you ever felt alone?  I have, and I suspect you have as well. Perhaps you were facing a situation you didn't know quite how to handle. Maybe a relationship you cherished was heading into troubled waters. Didn't have enough money to pay your bills? Maybe your body was telling you something was wrong with your health.

The disciples must have felt alone.  Knowing their fear of being alone, Jesus promised them he would "not leave you [them] orphaned". (John 14:18 NRSV)  He would not leave them alone and he has not left you alone.  The Holy Spirit will accompany you on your earthly pilgrimage to nourish, guide, strengthen and sustain you.

When you feel alone, remember that Jesus said "do not let your hearts be troubled and do not let them [you] be afraid" (v. 27).  Jesus knew God would send the Holy Spirit to be with us in order that we not face the sufferings of this world alone. God is still speaking to you. You are alone.

The sewer line has been fixed!
