IT'S A BOY!!

Chad and Miranda welcomed their son Holden into this world late Thursday evening. All are doing well.  Holden tipped the scales at 7 pounds and 4 ounces.

SUPPORT YOUR BELL CHOIR THIS SUNDAY (TOMORROW)

Our Sanctuary will resonate with the sound of beautiful music tomorrow provided by Zion's Handbell Choir.  The choir will accompany the congregation as they sing the opening hymn, present a piece of special music, and perform the postlude.

We hope you will come out to support your bell choir. They have worked very hard on this music!

IN THE MAILBOX THIS WEEK

Dear Pastor Pete,

Thank you so much for your generous contribution of $1,300 received recently to support the programs and services of Andrews House.  Your ongoing support and leadership along with the active ministry of your congregation brings love, hope, and relief to our community.

The energy, leadership, and support from Zion have been essential in bringing the Mobile Market to Delaware as well as fueling the ongoing effort to combat hunger in our community. As you well know, the Mobile Market served 125 households in December 2012 and reached 305 households in November 2013.  The commitment and dedication of "Team Zion" in the Mobile Market perpetuates this effort to address food insecurity in Delaware.  Additionally, your leadership and energy brought the film A Place at the Table to Zion to raise awareness and engage the community around the issue of hunger in Delaware County.

All of this and Zion's active involvement in Second Friday community meals and the Summer Lunch Program at Woodward School give pillars of support to the programs, services, and mission of Andrews House.  Your financial support helps us continue these programs and find ways to respond to emerging needs in our community.

We are very grateful for it.

Sincerely yours,

Melinda Corroto
Executive Director, Andrews House, Inc.

MOBILE FOOD MARKET
MONDAY FEBRUARY 17

Zion is home to soldiers in the war on hunger. Many thanks to Kellye, Nancy, Konrad, Marty and all who continue to work the Mobile Food Market on the first and third Mondays of each month.

Hundreds of families are served fresh produce. Here is a picture of Kellye and Marty preparing fresh oranges provided by the MidOhio Food Bank.

Thank you Highpoint Church for wonderful accommodations!  We will be serving families on Monday February 17 at 11:30.

PASTOR'S PURSE OFFERING

Two times each year the Zion Congregation supports special offerings for Pastor's Purse. These offerings provide the resources for Pastor Pete to provide emergency relief to individuals within the community (including Zion) who present particular needs to be met.

This year's first Pastor's Purse offering will be next Sunday, February 23. Please help if you can.

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING MARCH 2

There will be a Congregational meeting after worship on Sunday March 2 to affirm members of Church Council and the Endowment Board.  Presiding officer, Beth Kremer, assures us without hesitation the meeting will be very brief!!

FAMILY PROMISE

Zion will soon be filling a gap for Family Promise. We will be hosting Family Promise the week beginning on Sunday March 2.  Several area churches have shifted their mission priorities, leaving some "gaps" in coverage at Promise House.  As is often the case, Zion has been asked to step forward to fill the gap.  We didn't hesitate to say yes immediately!  Thank you for continuing to support this meaningful program and for supporting vulnerable families in this community.
