We have renamed the Local Mission Fund.  It is now the Pastor's Purse.  The change will ease the tracking and accounting for our extensive Local Mission activities.  The title of the new fund honors Pastor Pete's grandfather, the Rev. Mr. John M. Peterson who maintained a "Parson's Purse" fund for emergency relief at the Prescott First Congregational Church in the town of Prescott, Wisconsin where Pastor Pete was born and baptized.  Please designate future emergency relief contributions to this fund.  Thank you for your continued support of these efforts.  You are making a difference in the lives of vulnerable persons! 

 

Thank you for your continued support of our 4 annual special UCC offerings. This year's offering for Veterans of the Cross (the Christmas Fund) was more than double last year's amount of $357. This year's offering was in the amount of $717.

As you know, this special offering benefits low income retired clergy who have dedicated themselves to a life of service. Thank you for supporting this important 

                                                                         offering.  

This year's Pastor's Match will benefit the significant efforts of People in Need (PIN).  The December 29 Zion offering amount of $738.22 will be matched by the Peterson family for a total contribution to PIN from Zion in the amount of $1,476.44.  Thank you for supporting PIN!!
