 A Place At The Table
 
Take your place in the fight to end hunger.  On Wednesday October 30 Zion will be the site for a public screening of A Place at the Table, an acclaimed documentary on the systemic causes of hunger in this country.  Zion is in partnership with Ohio Wesleyan University, Andrews House, the Delaware County Hunger Alliance and others in bringing this important statement to the larger Delaware Community.

The showing will be in our sanctuary at 6:30 on this date.  Please plan to attend.  Bring your friends! Visit www.takepart.com/table for more information.

The bad weather didn't come until we had finished the work we were about - walking to end hunger.

Team Zion raised nearly $300! That won't feed the world; but it will feed some of God's vulnerable children.

We knew the Spirit was with us when Alice looked down at the OWU Jaywalk and noticed a $20 bill stuck between the cracks of the bricks in the walk!  More dollars for the effort!.  Thank you all.
 
Serving Others

On Monday night this hearty group of volunteers served dinner to participants in the Getting Ahead program at William Street UMC.
 
Class members are receiving instruction on matters related to financial independence.
 
Thank you to Carol, Jan, Melissa, Phyllis, Rose, Braden, Mike and Skylar (not pictured).  Great turnout, great fellowship and meal!

We are rapidly approaching our goal of 1,000 pounds of food and taxable items this year. To date, we have donated 798 pounds.  We can do this! You Rock Zion!
