 Andrews House Second Friday
Thank you to Emily, Hope, Jennifer, Melissa, Sarah, Sue, Laith and Nate for serving this month's Second Friday Community Meal at Andrews House.
It was a great evening of fellowship! Some of us couldn't keep our hands off of the brownies and ice cream (that would be Pastor Pete!).

 Mobile Food Market
It was very, very hot on Monday as volunteers met at the Eagles to distribute food to 237 families. "Warm hearts" was an understatement. "On fire" was the literal as well as the figurative truth.
Thank you Kellye, Nancy and Konrad for braving the elements to serve in mission.
Here's a picture of Konrad with new friend and fellow volunteer Zach.
The Mobile Food Market program continues to grow and we are so pleased the MidOhio Food Bank has designated Delaware as a remote location. Kudos to our own Konrad Young and Mel Corroto (Andrews House) for their efforts in bringing this initiative to Delaware. |
 In Our Mailbox
Rusty and Kay Lundy have faced some medical challenges over the last several weeks. A note came to us from them this week. Here are some excerpts.
"Pastor Pete, Kay and I want to thank you and all at Zion for your prayers and your thoughtfulness for us. I am recovering from my June 27 Pacemaker implant surgery. The cardiologist is seeing me each week to keep a check on the swelling and discomfort around the implant. Kay felt good about her report after her heart cath on July 8 because they found no major problems.
Thanks to All and God Bless You, Rusty and Kay Lundy"
We are so pleased for this report of healing and recovery!! |
Piano Needs a Home Please help us find a home for the upright piano which is resting in the elevator entrance of the church. Ernee tells us the piano plays well. We simply do not have any use for it at Zion.
If you know of anyone who would like the piano, please let one of our Ministers of Property know (MOP - Cheryl, Shirley, Mike, Peter, Bob or Jason). |
SCHOOL SHOE PROGRAM
Once again, People In Need (PIN) is sponsoring the School Shoe Program. This program supports low to middle income children attending Delaware County schools.
The program provides a $25.00 gift card to Payless Shoe store to each qualified student. PIN depends upon community donations to support this program. The program fund-raising begins on July 15th and runs through the end of August. During last year's program PIN purchased 516 pairs of shoes at a cost of $12,900. Please prayerfully consider whether you are able to support this program and a donation to this worthy cause. Thank you.
