Some of you may know that in a short amount of time elephants could be extinct. Around 35.000 elephants and rhinos are killed each year by ivory poachers. Conservation24.com developed an airborne surveillance technology that is already used in military applications around the world.  Aled Miles, who is a member of the Clinton Global Initiative and serves on Chelsea Clinton's private "Elephant Action Network" asked us to create a spot that describes this technology. We had only a few days from ideation, style frames to final animation, because the 3 minute video had to be ready for a meeting with government officials yesterday. I hope this project gets off the ground quickly, so that the elephant population stays up.

We love creating spots like this, because they serve a greater purpose and help to inform the public. The animation makes it easier to understand the technology. If you are interested in communicating complex ideas via animation, we may be able to help you and love to hear from you!

Let's help preserve elephants and rhinos and spread the word!

Vivakids is part of Viva Design studios, a lab and think tank where designers, artists and kids work together in multiple ways to express creativity.  We stimulate divergent thinking by using one topic at a time (for example the Alphabet) and generate many different ideas about the topic.
Kids learn the use of stopmotion animation as creative tool and an excellent exercise in persistence and staying in the moment.
Vivakids' DVDs and ipad apps are must-have learning tools for your thriving child today.
