Hey, I just received this bio... it sounds so good...like a freshly squeezed juice or more like a double mocha... "Ulrike Kerber, Principal and Creative Director at Viva Design Inc., is the diva of fresh, fearless, sometimes stormy and often sunny media with a chance of glitter! Her work can be seen on tv, dvds, ipad apps, movie features and video walls. Clients ask Ulrike for branding ideas, style frames, animations, promos and television network package design. Ulrike [Ool-ree-ke] has also directed and animated stop-motion titles and ipad apps for pre-schoolers. She hosts Creativity Sessions for companies, schools, kids at risk groups and Creative Nights at her studio. Ulrike loves images, the capturing of moments and the visual stories that evoke powerful emotions. She thinks out of-the-box, enjoys what is different, fashionable, whimsical or elegant. She's a pianist, a world traveler, multilingual and dances salsa in Cuba. She has an Emmy Nomination and awards from the Art Directors Club, NY Festival, Omni, BDA/Promax and others." Creative Nights.
While the outcome of these sessions may be fun to look at, the important part here is the process and the joy of creating something new, possibly learning a new technique. Below is the outcome of a creative night at Viva in February where we drew animation loops, a great intro for people who don't know much about animation.
Every time we are doing something different at the creative night. I love animation...especially stop-motion...it is so meditative: you literally have to stay in the present and you cannot think just a second about the future or the past, otherwise you make a mistake!
