Upcoming
March Monthly Meeting
March 2nd, 2016
5:30-7:30pm
***
Please note change of venue ***
PWN Welcomes Guest Speaker:
Topic:
Cultivating Your
Personal Presence
Have you ever wondered what mood or energy others experience when you come into the room? What impact you have on people when you show up? Our March program will suggest that when you are being fully
present, authentic, and congruent, your signature presence is a naturally-magnetic way of being. As a leader and a professional, by paying more attention to your personal presence, you can help cultivate your confidence, your personal power, and your ability to positively connect with others. As a wise sage once said, "Who you are speaks so loudly I cannot hear what you are saying."
Come join us for this evening of sharing practical tips and cues to increase your awareness of how your personal presence shows up in your appearance, your speech patterns, your thought patterns, and your body language. You can expect a high-energy, interactive session where we play with these ideas -- and you'll walk away with an action plan that will support you in creating an even stronger match between your intent and your impact.
A bit about our speaker, Kathy Fleming ~
A gifted coach, trainer, and leader, Kathy Fleming, MCC, models what she teaches: she's bold, open-hearted, clear, and authentic. In private practice for over 20 years as a leadership coach and consultant, Kathy has earned a reputation for successfully partnering with business owners and leaders at all levels to create powerful insights and results. As a senior trainer in a world-class coach training program for over a decade, she became known as the coaches' coach - helping hundreds of coaches transform their own lives while teaching them to create breakthroughs with clients. Prior to launching her consulting business, she was a marketing manager in a major corporation-- and even though her peers thought she was crazy for leaving, she's never looked back.
Kathy has the heart of a passionate learner: she's earned two Masters degrees, and dozens of certificates in high-impact models of personal and professional excellence, including being Master-level certified in neuro-linguistics. Yes, she has great credentials, yet the real reason you'll love what happens this evening? It'll be because of her own signature presence-- vibrant, generous, creative, and playful-and her encouragement and tips on how to live into YOURS even more fully.

Loree Van Bebber
Cal Coastal
Hello to all my peeps!
I've been working with Cal Coastal now for five years and what a GREAT time I have had. In that time we (and I do mean we) were able to help 196 businesses and 225 farmers to provide funding to move their businesses forward. The businesses and farmers that we work with have provided 2,350 jobs throughout California.
So enough about the numbers stuff, what I would really like to share with you is one of the clients we work with...
Mr Jeremy Carlson started his working career taking his trailer from concert venue to concert venue. After 40 years he decided to make a change by selling his tie-dyed paraphernalia from a street front location. With Cal Coastal's help Mr. Carlson was able to open his store at 119 Walnut Ave., Santa Cruz, CA. He has extended his product mix to include kid and adult parties. Yes, it's true, you can make your own tie died shirts, socks, dresses, etc. He is finding that the adults are having as much fun as the kids designing their own clothing!

Hello Everyone,
We have an exciting program planned for March: Cultivating Your Personal Presence with guest speaker Kathy Fleming! I hope that you all plan to attend.
Our vision for 2016 is Reach Out, Connect and Engage! With that in mind we have made some changes that we hope will enhance your membership and facilitate all of us in reaching out, connecting and engaging with one another.
Beginning this month members only will be invited to give their name and a 10-second introduction. The Board feels strongly that introductions are a benefit of membership.
We will recognize guests with a round of applause only. They will not be asked to share their name or promote their business other than informally before and after the meeting. We love our guests AND we want them to add value to PWN by becoming members.
We have decided that the same policy will apply at our Networking Lunches; members only will introduce themselves and give announcements. Guests are welcome and are invited to observe members as they promote their business.
Thirdly, PWN members only will be allowed to post and promote their business and announcements to the Facebook timeline. This will eliminate the need to wade through non-member promotions and provide greater exposure for members and their businesses.
We believe that these changes will strengthen our membership and highlight the value of being a member of the Professional Women's Network.
We love our PWN members! We love our guests too and will love them more when they join.
Wishing you business success,
Julie
