MARTY BERG
VIDEOGRAPHER/EDITOR

Berg 2

He looks intense.  But really, he's a soft spoken and very focused 20-year veteran professional who prefers to be behind the camera and not in front of it. In addition to being a brilliant videographer, he is an outstanding editor and graphic artist.  His experience ranges from spending a year in Africa with Watoto training the locals in media production to the Youth Conferences in Canada handling everything from theme design (graphics and materials)  to video production.  Marty has produced music videos (one in Belfast) for the group Blue Tree.  He is currently working on his own documentary, "Value", a compelling look at how we value life and possessions in different parts of the world.  Marty and his wife Kim have 3 children. We're lucky to have him on board as part of the AXE Productions family.

Check out Marty's past work.
LIVE EVENT TIPS

Often, the organizations we work for have already decided on a creative theme for an event.  What makes AXE Productions unique in our industry is our ability to help develop the creative concept even further. With our decades of experience in producing award shows, special events, concerts and more, we have learned about what works. Our creative experience is such that we have been asked to script entire events and pre-produce elements. This was the case, for example, with NAIT's 50th Anniiversary Gala.  We suggested the use of an actor to play a student character from each of the decades, bringing some comedy relief to the evening.  The next time you are planning an event, consider including us in the creative development of your event or show.  We're more than just audio, video, lighting and staging.  We're about brilliant creative ideas that take your event to the next level.

It was a big year for the festival: a name change, a venue change (Four Seasons Park), a song competition ---  a whole new experience that generated the best attendance in the Festival's history.  The weather cooperated enough to allow headliners "Powder Blues" and "David Wilcox" to crank out two excellent concerts.  By all accounts, the organizers, the Town of Beaumont, the residents and presenting sponsor, radio station upstart 93.1 The One Leduc, all enjoyed the incredibly well executed event.  Congrats Beaumont!  Below, Marty Berg shoots the studio portion of the music video with 2013 Youth at the Blues competition winner, Braden Gates.  AXE Productions offered up a recording session and a music video as the grand prize.
