Comox Valley Rotary RIBFEST Sept 18 - 20

Mmmmm, smell that! It's a "good time a cookin' " coming up in the valley.

Our local Strathcona Sunrise Rotary club with be hosting a FREE ADMISSION event to help raise money for local and international projects. Goodbye Windows 8, Hello Windows 10!

Back in July, Microsoft released their newest Operating System (OS), Windows 10. Being a new OS, we have tested it backwards and forwards and are happy to announce we have decided to upgrade all our Windows 8.1 system previously for sale to Windows 10. Updates, Don't Forget

Most of us are familiar with the little pop-ups we get asking us to install updates. While they only take a few minutes to complete, many of us are guilty of postponing them or just ignoring them completely. But keeping up with these computer updates is actually very important when it comes to having a healthy and secure computer. These updates are just as important as having an anti-virus program. Sometimes the automagic updates can fail so we suggest checking to make sure you have the latest versions of the following once a month.

Some of the most common updates are:

Windows or Apple OS updates
Java (Update to the latest (Version 8.51)
Adobe Acrobat Reader (Version 2015.008.20082)
Adobe Flash Player (Version 18.0.0.232)
Microsoft Office
Simply Accounting / Quickbooks
iTunes
