My Tech Guys Christmas Hours

 Both of the My Tech Guys stores (Comox & Courtenay) will be closed on Tuesday December 25th for Christmas Day.
Our Comox store will be closed on the 24th & 26th, but our Courtenay store on Cliffe Avenue will be lightly manned by Cory Jesmer and Kyle Corey on the 24th & 26th for all your geek needs.
Kyle will be available on the 24th & 26th for in home service calls as well.
And all stores and in home appointments will be in full effect on Thursday December 27th....so if you need help with any of those geek toys and gadgets, give us a call.
PS; oh yeah, we will all also be closed on Tuesday, January 1st...

Today, we are heavily reliant on our computers to stay connected with friends, family members and business associates. Or computers are used every day for doing on line banking, purchasing of products through websites like Ebay, Amazon.com and sadly, a reality that we all must deal with is Internet fraud and IT criminals. 
When receiving messages from people you do not know be cautious before clicking any links - and as emails can be spoofed be equally cautious when receiving messages from those you know, especially those posing as banks or other institutions requesting banking or password information.

 We are sooo proud to announce, that My Tech Guys have again won the award for "Most Entertaining Float" for the second year in a row...(and the crowd goes crazy!!)...
"I had so much fun running around and bringing joy to all the families that attended the parade this year" quoted Kyle Corey. The theme of this year's parade was "A Mystical Magical Christmas" and the family of My Tech Guys decided to do the Neverland theme of Peter Pan and characters. "A big thanks to Michelle & Bob Wells for all their hard work in getting our props and costumes together, and a big, big thanks to Quality Foods for the prize of $1500 of gift cards and was divided up to all the members of the team that helped us win this award" stated Bryan Tisdale "We will hang that plaque with great pride up in our store's wall of awards!!"

Bob Goes to the Microsoft Store

Bob Wells, owner and Extreme Geek of My Tech Guys went on a field trip to Vancouver for a Windows 8 Summit. He decided to stop into the "Microsoft Store" at the Oakridge Shopping Mall in Vancouver.
Upon arriving the first thing he noticed was that it actually wasn't a store, but a kiosk in the mall itself. In fact, when purchasing products customers had to wait for staff to go to the storage room hidden in one of the mall hallways.
