St. Stephen's Weekly Touchstone
The Day of Pentecost
June 8, 2014

Volunteer Appreciation This Sunday

Join us this week as we honor our volunteers, thanking them for their service to St. Stephen's during the past year, and celebrating with breakfast after the service.

We will also honor our graduating high school seniors, sending them off with our blessings.

After the service we are holding a breakfast in the parish hall. Two speakers from the Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry will join us: Kate Stone Lombardi, the Board President and Roberta Horowitz, Operations Manager. They will update us on the pantry, the challenges and directions for the future.

Don't forget to wear red for Pentecost this Sunday!

Daniel Turner's amazing accomplishment:

Daniel was pronounced "Rookie of the Year" at the Somers Relay for Life fund raiser last weekend.  He was the top fund raiser at this event for the American Cancer Society, with the Daniel Strong team raising $23,405 so far.

On the rainy Friday night, Daniel's mother Claire spoke about "why I relay", as a rainbow appeared above them! Congratulations to Team Daniel, and many thanks to all who supported their efforts. It's not too late to donate -- see Claire or James Turner to contribute.
