St. Stephen's looks forward to spring

After such a long, fierce winter, the church grounds were looking soggy and sad.  Large branches had fallen all over the lawn, the flower beds were choked with wet leaves, dead stalks and windblown detritus, and our walkways were begrimed with sand and grit thrown down to cover the ice.

But thanks to the generosity of Karen and Ricardo Pascoe, our church grounds are now spruced up and ready for spring. The garden beds have been cleared, and a few crocuses have made their way up. Tree limbs have been removed and the paths are clean of gravel and dirt.

We'll look for further signs of life with warmer days ahead.  Thank you, Karen and Ricardo!

St. Stephen's is staffing the Food Pantry tonight, Tuesday 8 April, from 4:45 to 6:45 pm at the Methodist Church in Mount Kisco. We still need a couple more volunteers. Please let Laura Desmarais know if you can assist at [email protected].

The Food Pantry's needs have changed. In order to assure a consistent experience the pantry no longer requests donations of assorted items.  They need only:
  • canned tuna
  • low-sodium soup
  • for the month of April only, cake mix and frosting. These will be used to make birthday cake kits for children.
