School Board Selects Dr. Bernard Taylor, Jr. as Next Superintendent of EBRPSS  

During a special Board meeting held March 22, members of the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board voted unanimously to offer Dr. Bernard Taylor, Jr. the position of superintendent of the East Baton Rouge Parish School System (EBRPSS). Board President Barbara Freiberg called Dr. Taylor shortly after the vote to congratulate him on his selection. 
 

Once again, the East Baton Rouge Parish School System (EBRPSS) has proven it provides a high-quality education that creates some of the top students from across the state.  On Wednesday evening, April 18, that proof came from the Louisiana Department of Education, which named Samhita Rao of Glasgow Middle School one of the state's Students of the Year for 2012.
