Art Showcase Date Change

Due to the recent snow days, the Dilworth Elementary Art Showcase will be postponed until Thursday, April 24th  from 4:30pm-6:30pm.  Please update your calendars!  You will not want to miss our exciting evening of stunning artwork created by our own Dilworth Students!

Musical Performance
Calling all 1st and 3rd graders for a great night of music!

Come and join both grade levels for their annual musical performances on March 20, beginning at 6:00.  This is the original date for the 3rd grade but a make-up date for 1st graders who missed their performance date due to snow.

Please save the date and come support these Dragons in their concert.

Let Me Run Registration
Let Me Run inspires boys through the power of running to be courageous enough to be themselves, to build healthy relationships, and to live an active lifestyle. Join us for a great spring season!

Teams meet Mondays and Wednesdays for seven weeks beginning March 24th immediately after school. Practice ends at 4:05 p.m. Each of the 14 practices last 1 hour and 15 minutes. Practice consists of the Unity Lap, a run, proper stretching, and a lesson from our curriculum. Topics discussed include anger management, goal setting, honesty, bullying, etc.

The session ends with the Let Me Run Springfest 5K on May 17th in Huntersville. Register today at www.letmerun.org. Questions? Contact Lori Klingman at [email protected].

Volunteers Needed for An Amazing PTA!
We are starting to plan for a successful 2014-2015 school year! Every year we rely on a huge team of committed parents to support Dilworth Elementary School and to make all of our committees and events run so well. We are looking for Executive Board members and Committee chairs to lead our school and would love your help. If you are newer to Dilworth or have a younger student, we encourage you to get involved and help out! There is no previous experience necessary to chair a committee! All are welcome!

Please let us know how you would like to contribute to Dilworth's success by filling out this form  and returning it to your teacher as soon as possible. Please contact Allison Malloy at [email protected] with questions.

Support Our Sister School!
Sedgefield Elementary School's classroom resources are sparse, and we can make a difference! Just drop useful items in one of the two bins in the atrium. One bin is for books and the other is for supplies (Kleenex, hand sanitizer, antibacterial wipes, extras from your fall school supply purchases, etc.)

Please contact Angela Butler at [email protected] to volunteer or with questions.

Time to start your spring cleaning! Make sure you're properly maintaining home appliances and keeping them clean, which keeps them running at peak efficiency. This saves electricity, which conserves resources and reduces global warming. Remove lint and dust from your refrigerator coil and freezer. Clean up lint around your dryer, furnace, and any vents leading to or from them. Also, change or clean the filter in your air purifier or furnace.
