TCC Military Cultural Awareness Center

Did you know that one in every three TCC students is associated with the U.S. military?

In 2012-13, TCC served nearly 14,700 military-related students - 6,716 veterans, 2,125 active duty service members, and 5,850 self-identified military family members.

To help TCC faculty and staff better serve the needs of our military-related students, TCC's Center for Military and Veterans Education has developed the Military Cultural Awareness Center. This Blackboard-based center will function as a virtual source of information regarding TCC's military-related students (active duty, reserve, National Guard, veterans, and their families).

Featured topics and resources include:

  • Military Culture
  • Military Special Populations and Best Practices
  • Military Academic Programs and Services
  • Military Education Funding Opportunities and Challenges
  • Military Terms and Acronyms
  • Community Resources
  • Discussion Boards

Just one more way the CMVE is helping make TCC the most military-friendly college in Hampton Roads!
