Important Announcements 

Military to Manufacturing (M2M)

 

If you are a veteran and or military spouse and have experience or interest in the manufacturing industry, and wish to pursue your civilian manufacturing certification, then Tidewater Community College (TCC) has the program for you!  

 

TCC's Center for Military and Veterans Education (CMVE) has in collaboration with the Virginia Manufacturing Association (VMA) made arrangements to begin offering the Military2Manufacturing (M2M) program.  Upon completion of the M2M program, the you will be awarded the Mechanical Technician Level 1 (MT1) certification to document your readiness to entry the  manufacturing industry.  M2M offers veterans and military spouses the opportunity to translate their military experience into national recording industry credentials.

Women's Center announces the Mary Pat Liggio Leadership Award

 

The Mary Pat Liggio Leadership Award is given to a female student currently enrolled in Tidewater Community College who demonstrates strong leadership traits both in student and community life.

Last year's award recipient, Marcella Martin

This student also has a strong potential to be a future leader in her career and community. Beyond receiving recognition at the Women's Leadership Breakfast in May, the award recipient will also receive $500.

 

Nominee Eligibility:

  • Female student currently enrolled at TCC with a minimum of 12 course hours completed or anticipated graduation no later than the fall semester of the current year.
  • Maintain a 3.0 minimum grade point average
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities from voluntary activities in student/campus or community
  • Participate in the Women's Center programs and events
  • Receive two letters of nomination from TCC faculty and/or staff. At least one letter must be from a campus based coordinator or staff members of the TCC Women's Center

Note:  Students who wish to withdraw without academic penalty should contact a counselor to determine the appropriate procedure and date. Withdrawals through completion of sixty percent of a session will result in a Wgrade. After sixty percent of a session is completed, a withdrawal will result in a grade of F in a credit course or a grade of U in a developmental course, except under mitigating circumstances that must be documented by the instructor and approved by the academic dean.

Dynamic Session classes have unique refund and withdrawal dates. Please contact the Enrollment Services Office for procedures and dates.
