40 Days in the Word, Winter Festival, The Art of Marriage & More!

40 Days in the Word Begins February 10

We are very excited about our upcoming message series and spiritual growth campaign: 40 Days in the Word! In the past we have grown individually and as a congregation as we experienced 40 Days of Purpose and 40 Days of Community. On February 10 we begin 40 Days in the Word, a journey of eternal significance as we learn how to be not only a "hearer," but also a "doer" of God's Word.

40 Days in the Word is a church-wide weekly study of six principles of the Word of God. Together we will explore the authenticity, reliability, power, comfort, interpretation and doing of God's Word. This six-week journey, led by weekly messages by Pastor Scott and teaching resources from author and pastor Rick Warren, will encourage spiritual growth in all of us. The whole family will be on this journey together as our children and students will be participating with their own curriculum.

CommunityKIDZ Winter Festival is February 10

KIDZ (Birth - 5th Grade) are invited to the CommunityKIDZ Winter Festival on Sunday, February 10, from 3:30 to 5:30 PM. Join us for an exciting afternoon of fun including sledding down our SNOW hill, bounce houses, face painting, hot dogs, cotton candy, and more! Cost for KIDZ age 2 - 5th grade is $5. KIDZ under 2 years old are free. All children must be accompanied by an adult. For more information about Winter Festival, email CommunityKIDZ.

Volunteers are needed for Winter Festival. Register online to help as a Winter Festival volunteer in food preparation, as food server, bounce house attendant, snow hill attendant, parking volunteer, or registration volunteer. Register online.

The Art of Marriage Seminar is February 15 and 16

Married & engaged couples are encouraged to attend this informative & fun seminar presented by Family Life. This unique video event features influential experts on marriage, including Dennis & Barbara Rainey. Through engaging stories, real-life testimonies, man-on-the-street interviews and humor, The Art of Marriage will help couples fully experience God's design for marriage. The six sessions include learning how love happens, fades, dances, communicates, sizzles, and lasts. The Art of Marriage is Friday, February 15 (7:00 - 9:30 PM) and Saturday, February 16 (9:00 AM - 4:15 PM). Cost is $40 per couple (includes seminar workbooks). Women's Ministry Movie Night is Tomorrow Night

The Women's Ministry is hosting a movie night for ladies at CCC tomorrow, February 1, from 7:00 - 9:00 PM. We will be showing, October Baby, the story of how a college freshman's world is rocked when she learns she is the adopted survivor of an attempted abortion. It is an uplifting movie with the message that every life is beautiful. Childcare is available for $6 per family and can be paid at the door. To register, email [email protected].
