April 26, 2016 Finger Lakes Connected
Have you ever spent an extended amount of time in a car with a teenager? I road tripped with my oldest this weekend and had the pleasure of listening to her "music" for hours on end. But there was a trade off. When her playlist started to repeat, we listened to Prince and it took me back to when I felt "cool" listening to his "before his time" style which had plenty of sexual innuendos also! Then my 14 year old daughter had a revelation: What do you think the music will be like when I'M a mom and my kids think MY Music is lame? I said maybe Prince will be resurrected and that generation will realize how AWESOME he is! Purple Rain, Purple Rain....

HOST A PROFESSIONAL PLEIN AIR ARTIST!
2016 Finger Lakes Plein Air Competition & Festival at Canandaigua, NY
Festival Dates: June 7-12th

Have you ever wondered what the life of a professional outdoor artist is like?   Or how an artist can transform a moment into an amazing piece of art?

Click here to fill out and submit the Host Application Form at our website.

By opening your home and offering a guest room you not only help an artist offset some costs associated with participating in this year's festival - but you can make a new friend or two in the process.  Over the course of 5 days these artists want to share something quite magical with our community. They are those who live their dream to create. They follow in the footsteps of those chasing light and color since the early 19th century. This year we are asking our community to also embrace the storied tradition of welcoming accomplished, itinerant artists who charm the cultures they pay homage to in their paintings.
