Diabetic Testing - Blood Glucose
Last week I discussed diabetes facts. This week I will focus on blood glucose testing. Once you have been diagnosed with diabetes ,checking your blood glucose levels regularly with a meter can help you make choices about food, physical activity and medications. If you need a blood glucose meter, consider these things:

Is it accurate?
Is it easy to use?
Is it easy to carry?
Is the display screen large enough to see my results?
Can I use blood from my forearm or other non finger sites?
Will insurance cover the meter and strips?

We carry different types of meters - one to suit your particular need. We also are accredited so you can switch your Medicare Part B plan to us. In addition, we also accept Medicare Part D prescription insurance plans.

Canandaigua - The Medicine Shoppe can help you with your diabetic care. Whether you have questions about testing supplies, your prescriptions, or overall health, consider your Medicine Shoppe pharmacist as part of your diabetic healthcare team. Look to us for trusted advice on how to live life to the fullest. Call (585) 396-9970 or stop in at 66 West Ave to talk to our knowledgeable staff today.
