Aug 25, 2015 Canandaigua Connected ENewsletter

My ten year old gets sad over endings. End of the weekend, end of a movie, end of summer. She was upset last week and I asked her why.

Rachel: I just feel like summer is coming to a close.

Me (at the calendar, physically counting with her): One, two, three...Rach, there are 21 days left until school starts. That means there are THREE WHOLE WEEKS OF SUMMER left!

Rachel (bursting out into tears): ONLY three weeks? That's it???

Call me crazy, but three weeks is a LOOONNGG time! Well, that was last week and now we are down to two weeks. It's officially time to cram in all that you wanted to do but were putting off for some reason. There is no time like the present. And remember, perspective is everything. Glass half full.....
