March 31, 2015 Canandaigua Connected ENewsletter

My 13 year old informed me she wants a hair straightener for Easter. Doesn't the Easter bunny just focus on candy and maybe a few books? Besides, she has my hair straightener that I gave up on because my hair truly just wants to be curly and it was way too much effort to go against the grain on that one. She says its not the right kind.  I told her the Easter bunny doesn't deliver things that plug in and her hair looks perfect just the way it is. Is there such a thing as an Easter scrooge? Apparently, I'm quickly approaching this status.  I remember
when getting told no for something I wanted motivated me to find a way to work and save for it.  So I'm going for this scenario...to lighten the poor bunny's load.

Ontario County Historical Museum....goes Wall-less! AND Antique Wedding Exhibit closes THIS SATURDAY, April 4! (last day to enjoy is Sat, 11am-3pm)

We know it is not always easy to get to the museum - so they are coming to YOU! Click here to view the series of 2-3 minute vignettes on life in Canandaigua in the 1800's and other local history GEMS! My personal favorite on their YouTube Channel is Caroline Cowles Richards - a young Canandaigua girl's account from her personal diary the day General Lee surrendered to end The Civil War. They have posted vignette number 5 out of 12 that will be released weekly on their YouTube channel as well as on their FB page! This is a big win for OCHS! Kudos!

Having issues with your digestive system? If so, consider taking Probiotics? Probiotics are dietary supplements containing potentially beneficial yeasts or bacteria. When we take probiotics, we are actually adding bacteria back to our system. Probiotics are bacteria that help maintain the natural balance of organisms in the intestines. What do Probiotics do? They manufacture B vitamins, manufacture lactase, control overpopulation of bad bacteria, protect against the downside of antibiotics, improve efficiency of digestive tract, help to recycle estrogen, support and strengthen the immune system, produce natural antibiotics, enhance nutrient absorption, and assist in the treatment of food allergies.  Stop by or call the store to see if Probiotics can help you feel better.
