Just think of what George Washington and his army had to endure to lay the groundwork for our nation's early years and successes. Hardships lead to rewards. Get help with those financial aid forms at FLCC - no matter what college you attend

A limited number of seats remain at the SUNY Financial Aid Day workshop on Saturday, Feb. 28, at the FLCC main campus, 3325 Marvin Sands Drive.

The event provides families with hands-on assistance in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. After a brief introduction to the financial aid process, guests will convene in the computer labs to complete the FAFSA form with instruction from FLCC financial aid staff. The event is open to all regardless of which colleges students plan to attend.

The workshop runs from 9:45 a.m. to noon. Entry is free but registration is required by Feb. 23 at the SUNY website.

Thompson Health Chaplain Mark Henson will hold an informational meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 18, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the chapel just off the main lobby at UR Medicine's Thompson Hospital, 350 Parrish St.
