The wonderful thing about having to endure record cold temps and negative wind chills for an extended amount of time, is that when you have a 19 degree day, it feels balmy. Just think of what George Washington and his army had to endure to lay the groundwork for our nation's early years and successes. Get help with those financial aid forms at FLCC - no matter what college you attend

A limited number of seats remain at the SUNY Financial Aid Day workshop on Saturday, Feb. 28, at the FLCC main campus, 3325 Marvin Sands Drive.

The event provides families with hands-on assistance in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. After a brief introduction to the financial aid process, guests will convene in the computer labs to complete the FAFSA form with instruction from FLCC financial aid staff. The event is open to all regardless of which colleges students plan to attend.

The workshop runs from 9:45 a.m. to noon. Entry is free but registration is required by Feb. 23 at the SUNY website

CHAPLAIN'S VOLUNTEER INFORMATIONAL MEETING THIS WEDNESDAY
Thompson Health Chaplain Mark Henson will hold an informational meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 18, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the chapel just off the main lobby at UR Medicine's Thompson Hospital, 350 Parrish St.

UR Medicine's Thompson Health will host "Change Your Body, Change Your Lifestyle" on Wednesday, March 4, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Constellation Center for Health and Healing at Thompson Hospital, 350 Parrish St.

1. We urge your participation in an election that will take place on Feb. 18th. The BID has two openings on its Board of Directors. Votes may be cast in person at the BID Office on Wednesday, Feb. 18 between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  We need to fill two openings on the BID Board of Directors; one in each class: Class A - Property Owner and Class B - Commercial Tenant.
