November 25, 2014 Canandaigua Connected ENewsletter
Thanksgiving. My favorite holiday. I'm one of those mix it all together on one plate kind of people. What about you? I don't participate in the leaving the comforts of home to shop thing, but I know some love to do this. I'm also a go around the table and SAY OUT LOUD what you're thankful for kind of person but I know this annoys others. The important thing is to remember that we're all different (and that is a good thing) AND not everyone has loved ones with whom to share this holiday...
Patty's Place Restaurant at 33 S. Main St. Canandaigua (396-9470), will hold its 20th free Thanksgiving dinner for people in need or who are alone on Thanksgiving.
The dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 27. The menu will include roast turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, desserts and other traditional Thanksgiving foods.
I volunteer at Patty's on Christmas and they are wonderful people. No matter how cold it is outside, these things warm the soul. Blue Skies, Donna Bennett
