November 18, 2014 Canandaigua Connected ENewsletter
Have you ever been caught somewhere without your credit card? I had a huge grocery list, an empty refrigerator, and suddenly realized at Wegmans that my credit card was in a different purse. I realized it quite early in the shopping, so probably the smart thing to do would be to return home for the plastic, but I do enjoy a good challenge. I had $30.27 in cash. I did have to put a few things back at the checkout and didn't mind the guy behind me (in the express lane - which was another new experience) groaning as I did the math in my head to get rid of just the right combination of things to come under my cash budget. I know it is a random story but it makes you kind of think how dependent we are on the plastic, doesn't it?
