May 13, 2014 Canandaigua Connected ENewsletter

The funniest thing that happened this Mother's Day was my 8 year old proclaiming in her handmade card "My Mother is The World's Best Cook".  I am quite certain that this honor will never again be bestowed upon me, so I've chosen to proudly display the said sentiment in the kitchen for all naysayers to see. It may not be the majority opinion in the household, but, nonetheless, it had quite a profound effect and served it's intended purpose. Some kids value gourmet, while others like efficiency in effort and service with a smile. Pleasing the minority has its rewards.

Blue skies, Donna Bennett
