I know my limits. I do a lot of things well but tax preparation is not one of them. This is why we have CPA's and accountants. I'm a big fan of sourcing out these type things to the professionals. The other thing I don't enjoy is shoveling but I think it is safe to say we're finally done with that. Happy Easter, Passover and all things SPRING!

Arts and Crafts Event Set for April 25 through 27!
Thompson Health Guild will present the third annual Springtime in Canandaigua arts at crafts market, at the Greater Canandaigua Civic Center, 250 North Bloomfield Road, Canandaigua, NY

Free Oral/Head/Neck Cancer Screenings Offered at Thompson April 24
Thompson Health Speech Pathology will host free screenings for oral, head and neck cancer on Thursday, April 24, from 1 to 6 p.m. at Rehabilitation Services in the Constellation Center for Health and Healing, 350 Parrish St., Canandaigua. Screenings will be conducted by Dr. John Centonze of Finger Lakes Otolaryngology, who is donating his time. This event coincides with Oral, Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Week, which begins April 20. Registration is required; please call the Speech Pathology Department at (585) 396-6267 to schedule an appointment. Sonnenberg Gardens in April! Every Tuesday (9 am - Noon) & every Wednesday (Noon - 3 pm) in April: Greenhouse Open House, While our gardens sleep through the winter, our gardeners do not! Late winter is a very busy time in the greenhouses. Tens of thousands of seeds are started for planting throughout our many gardens. During the month of April we will open our greenhouses to the public. Come and see the seeds being started. Wander through the tropical Orchid House and Palm House. Marvel at the cactus, agave, and other desert plants that grow in arid conditions. A greenhouse visit will be a great way to fight the late winter blues and inspire dreams of spring! $1 donation/person.
April 16: Sonnenberg Volunteer Fair, 6:30-8pm Come learn about the volunteer opportunities at Sonnenberg at one of our Volunteer Fair sessions!
April 26: Hug a Tree, 10 am - 3 pm. This special day-long tree event will feature talks, walks, and more. $20/person.

Proposed Fall 2015 enrollment will be open to all K-6 students in area. The Core Knowledge Curriculum will be the basis of instruction with Singapore/Saxon Math.
A few key components of the curriculum:
- K-5 Spanish and 6-9 Latin Instruction
- Emphasis on classical literature
- Phonics reading instruction
- Instruction in the principles of moral character and civic virtue

FLCC celebrates National Poetry Month Wednesday
To commemorate National Poetry Month, Finger Lakes Community College will hold its 12th Annual Campus Authors Reading on Wednesday, April 16.
The reading will begin at 7 p.m. at the FLCC Honors House, 4340 Lakeshore Drive in Canandaigua. The event is free and open to the public.
The event celebrates the literary accomplishments of the FLCC faculty and staff. The reading is offered each year in recognition of National Poetry Month, though all literary genres are represented.

Come join other like-minded individuals who support small, local, sustainable certified organic farms at the Lakestone Family Farm CSA right here in Farmington NY. This season we are offering 4 share options: our Vegetable Share (7-10 items a week) for 24 weeks beginning in May for $625, with a Juicing Add-On Share (3-4 bunches of greens & other unique juicing items) for the same 24 weeks for an additional $275. Our Whole Frozen Chicken Share is 12 chickens (around 4lbs per bird) every other week beginning in June for $252, and our Egg Share is One Dozen Eggs per week for 16 weeks beginning in July for $84.
