Oct 15, 2013 Canandaigua Connected ENewsletter

So...last week, I somehow managed to upset both Democrats AND Republicans? Dems voiced to me they didn't like any discussion about less government and Repubs were wondering why I picked a pic & quote from JFK.  At least, I got people stirred up and talking! This, week, I'm just going to keep it short and sweet and politically correct: Enjoy YOUR CC!

Thompson to Host Oct. 26 Medication Drop-Off 9- noon in the Sands Cancer Center parking lot at Thompson Hospital.

We will collect and properly dispose of unwanted  & outdated prescription & over-the-counter medications, keeping them out of the wrong hands & out of the watershed.  The Sands Cancer Center parking lot faces West St and is just south of the Eye Care Center. Volunteers will direct community members' vehicles to a section of the lot for a drive-by drop-off, overseen by deputies.  There is no need to obscure any identifying information on the containers themselves.  Household wastes, pesticides, etc will not be collected at this event.  Residents who have mercury or mercury-containing devices will be instructed to hold that material until the next Ontario County Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Day.  For a map showing the location of the Sands Cancer Center, click here.
