The Consciousness of Spirit
A warm springtime greeting to all of you. I hope your Easter was inspiring if you celebrate it and/or your Spring Equinox brought balance if you celebrate that as part of your spiritual path and growth.
I am very excited for after 5 long years, I finally finished my Ministerial Degree with The American Institute of Holistic Theology. Working a full time job plus doing my mediumship, it took me that long to finish the 60 credit hour course work. I feel inspired with wisdom.
As part of my studies, the last paper I had to write was on that of the conscious mind and how a medium blends their carnate mind with the incarnate mind of spirit, or, a mind that is in the conscious state with one that is in that of the "super-conscious" so that they become one and work in harmony with each other. I have learned that a medium must learn how to blend their mind with that of the spirit in order to bring the evidence necessary to substantiate the medium's work. Let us first speak to what exactly is "blending" when it comes to mediumship?
Blending is the term used for the process of "attunement". As I have stated, the blending of a carnate mind with that of an incarnate mind, the state of becoming one with spirit. The way the medium approaches blending is stepping out of their comfort zone. It is a long and gradual progression. It requires trust on the medium's part as well as the trust of spirit. What inhibits us from blending is that we rely on the physical to function in this world. We are in the material world most of the time but our inner sense can be alien to us. The logical mind says "yes.... but?". The way that the medium attunes is that they quit focusing on their fears and self-doubts. The medium must learn to "spiritualize" them selves with their discipline focused on the spirit world. Ninety percent of our focus should be with that of spirit. It is a process that is trial and error but through this the medium finds what works best. The medium must also learn to release fear, sorrow and anger before working because these emotions can inhibit the process. I have found in the 8 years I have been doing this work professionally that you can work with any soul and through discipline can build trust with them.
The next step in this process is how the medium prepares for this attunement. Studying people in this world is essential. If the medium gains an understanding of different personalities, spirit will use this to get information across to them. They will use what is in the medium's subconscious mind to tell a story to someone else in order to get their information across to the sitter. The medium can also create an inner space in their mind. Ways of doing this are going for a walk in nature, listening to music, reading spiritual poetry and just "doodling" on a piece of paper. They can also use affirmations such as "I have confidence!" or "I am an excellent medium!". The medium can think of something they do well and transfer this to their mediumship.

Progressive Mediumship Development Circle - April 14 & 28, 2016
This circle is designed for those that have been progressing in their mediumship. This circle will meet twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month in Fort Worth, Texas. If you feel you are advancing in your mediumship, have an understanding of "sitting in the power of the spirit" and are willing to progress and work to "fine tune" your evidence from the spirit world, this circle will be for you. If you are uncertain about attending, please contact David to arrange a telephone discussion to determine if this circle is appropriate for you. This circle is not designed for beginner's. If you are just beginning your journey, please contact David about the Beginner's Mediumship Workshop Series. You may attend either one or both circles each month. The foundation for this circle will be active mental mediumship based on the principles of Spiritualism. We will work to bring forth evidence to prove survival after death. Once the evidence is validated, then you will work to bring the message that spirit has for the person receiving the information. Please be aware that we will not be doing trance mediumship, channeling nor producing physical phenomenon in this circle. We also do not discuss paranormal phenomenon. Also, each month, other's will be invited to attend as "sitters" for the mediums that are working. This circle will be done in a positive environment of love, caring and team work.
