Member Carol Aronson's mystery,'Tis a Long Road That Has No Turning, is now available on Amazon under the pen name, Annie Forde. Disgraced socialite Kathleen O'Connor flees to turn-of-the-century Pittsburgh, where she seeks redemption in nursing the poor and downtrodden. One morning, a troubled little girl leads her to a water-soaked corpse. When the coroner rules "death by poison," Katie scrambles to identify the killer in time to save a Scots-Irish immigrant family from ruin. In the end she learns the meaning of the old proverb, 'Tis a long road that has no turning -- the Golden Rule, with an Irish twist.
Member Douglas Phillip is pleased to announce the publication of Spirit Made Smaller. This poignant medical mystery presents both physical and emotional loss and the resulting relationships that move one forward and back into a larger or smaller spirit. Spirit Made Smaller is an award-winning Finalist in the 2014 USA Best Book Awards in two categories: Fiction - Cross Genre; Fiction - Religious. Great photos, endorsements, and book signing events are featured on the novel's website: www.spiritmadesmaller.com
Member EC Murray is pleased to announce the upcoming release of A Long Way from Paris. In this searing, authentic adventure, Elizabeth is hired to herd goats on a remote mountain farm in the South of France where she carves out a life without heat, running water, or even a good grasp of French. Far from her younger days as a New England preppie and Oregon hippie, the challenges of farm work daunt her. She befriends an Australian shepherd, reflects on her spirituality, and muses on the man she left behind. Elizabeth grows stronger, facing self-doubt, while she maintains her humor and ekes fun where she can. When tragedy strikes Elizabeth's adopted family, she summons belief in herself and becomes the leader they desperately need. To be released by mid-December by Plicata Press. Will be available at independent bookstores, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble.
Member David A. Davies is delighted to announce the recent publication of The Potential, which was published in March 2014 with the Book Publishers Network. This novel, set in 1995, follows the trials and tribulations of a US Embassy driver who saves the life of the US Ambassador to Germany in a terrorist attack. David ties together a plot twisting with terror, intrigue and suspense spanning continents. From Germany to the Middle East to the United States, including the hallowed halls of Congress, justice struggles to leave its mark. According to one reviewer, The Potential is like reading the script of Die Hard. The novel is available from Amazon, Barnes & Nobel, and Powells.
