New Publication by PNWA President Pam Binder: "When you love someone deeply enough anything is possible. Even miracles." With the last lines in her mother's favorite movie, Brigadoon, fresh in her mind, Irene Redmond embarks on a journey. She expects to find answers to family secrets, instead she meets a man who awakens long ago dreams of a happily ever after. But if they don't make it back to their own time by midnight on Christmas Eve, their romance will end before it has a chance of a beginning. Set in the Highlands of Scotland, a stranded tour group finds romance, danger and the promise of love everlasting. Sometimes a sprinkle of magic is all you need.
Christmas In The Highlands is a December release by New York Times Bestselling author Pam Binder. She will be signing copies, and presenting a workshop at the University Book Store in Bellevue on December 6, 2014, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Jerry Kaczmarowski, one of our local PNWA members, released his first book Moon Rising in June. Moon Rising is a techno-thriller that pulls from today's headlines to describe a space race between China and the United States. Both countries want to commercialize the production of Helium 3, a rare isotope that can produce enough clean burning energy to power the world's economies for thousands of years. Moon Rising is available for sale now on Amazon in both digital and paper formats.

Member Robert Dugoni's bestselling legal thrillers have earned him comparisons to John Grisham, Scott Turow, and Nelson DeMille, among others. In MY SISTER'S GRAVE (Thomas & Mercer; October 14, 2014), Dugoni returns with the powerful and poignant story of a homicide detective determined to avenge the murder of her beloved younger sister - regardless of the cost. An explosive whodunit with a family love story at its heart, MY SISTER'S GRAVE is a thriller that's difficult to put down, and marks an exciting new chapter for acclaimed writer Robert Dugoni. Available on Amazon.
PNWA Member Ethan Reid's debut novel THE UNDYING will be released by Simon451 (Simon & Schuster) on October 7th. In a riveting apocalyptic thriller for fans of The Passage and The Walking Dead, a mysterious event plunges Paris into darkness and a young American must lead her friends to safety-and escape the ravenous "undying" who now roam the crumbling city.
Praise for THE UNDYING: "After a devastating trigger touches off the fall of mankind, a desperate race for survival begins while the lush backdrop of Paris is brought to its knees. This is an enthralling tale of terror and survival. The writing is superb. The tension never stops. Keep the doors locked and the lights on - Ethan Reid is the new voice of horror you've been waiting for." -- Graham Brown, New York Times bestselling author of The Eden Prophecy
Epicenter Press has released Fast Hands, a debut young adult novel by member John Pappenheimer. A troubled teenager is given a choice between juvenile detention and fishing with an uncle he has never met. The choice he makes, transforms his life.
In August, member B D MacCullough's murder mystery novel set in first century Palestine, "Galilee Graves," won the award for Speculative Fiction at the Oregon Christian Writers Conference in Portland. www.bdmaccullough.com.
Member G. Elizabeth Kretchmer's The Damnable Legacy of A Minister's Wife, is the story of a mid-life mountaineer who placed her daughter for adoption thirty years ago and who regrets her decision more and more as each day passes. It's also about the at-risk teenage granddaughter she's never known and the dying minister's wife who is determined to bring the two together. Set largely against Alaska's unforgiving landscape and narrated from beyond the grave, it's about love, survival, place, faith, and hope, and it asks how far we should go to achieve our goals and at what cost.
The novel was released in July 2014 and is available from Ingram through your favorite independent bookstore. It's also available online from Amazon, Barnes & Noble Nook, Apple, and Kobo. www.gekretchmer.com.
